Maureen R. George
Ms. George, City Attorney for
Lake Havasu City, Arizona, was appointed to the Authority by Governor
Napolitano on January 21, 2003, as a representative of communities along the
Colorado River.
Ms. George has been the City Attorney for Lake Havasu City, Arizona, since
1992. A practicing municipal attorney in Arizona for more than 25 years, Ms.
George has represented varied municipal interests with particular emphasis
on water, employment and land use matters. She also serves as the
Secretary-Treasurer of the Mohave County Water Authority, a post she has
held since the formation of the Authority in 1995. Ms. George has also been
active in a number of community and professional organizations. She is a
graduate of Loyola University of Chicago, University of Arizona College of
Law, and Arizona State University’s Advanced Public Executive program.
